A small business website costs between $1,500 and $7,000 in 2026. A single landing page is $1,500. A 5 to 12 page website runs $5,000 to $7,000. Custom applications with logins or booking start around $10,000. Most agencies will not publish these numbers. We do.

Why nobody tells you the price.
Search for what a website costs and you will find ranges so wide they are useless. $500 to $50,000. It depends on your needs. Let's jump on a call.
There is a reason for that, and it is not complexity. It is that a vague price lets an agency work out what you can afford before quoting. The number then arrives shaped to your budget rather than to the work.
We publish ours. Here is what each band actually buys.
$1,500: one page.
A single page, built to do one job. Usually a campaign, a new offer, or somewhere to send ad traffic.
At this price you should expect the copy structured for you, mobile and speed optimization, and it live inside a week. You should not expect a brand identity, multiple pages, or ongoing changes.
If someone quotes $400 for this, they are using a template and changing the colors. That is a real option and sometimes the right one. It is not the same thing.
$5,000 to $7,000: a real website.
5 to 12 pages, written rather than filled in, with a structure built around what you actually sell.
This is where most small businesses land. It includes brand work where you need it, copy support, analytics, and an SEO foundation. 4 to 6 weeks is normal.
The thing that moves the price inside this band is not page count. It is how much thinking the project needs before anyone opens a design tool.
$10,000 and up: software, not a website.
Once customers need to log in, book, bid, or see something personal to them, you have left website territory.
Client portals, booking systems, dealer platforms, internal dashboards. These start around $10,000 and run 4 to 8 weeks. We built a private vehicle bidding platform for a Dutch brokerage in this band, with timed auction rounds and approved dealer access.
Most agencies that sell websites cannot build this. That is worth knowing before you ask them to.
What actually changes the number.
The price comes down to what the site has to do. A simple landing page that says "this is what we do, contact us here" can be done for $1,500. A website that has to work for the business, with real copy, tracking and SEO built in, sits around $5,000 to $7,000. If you want every lead answered automatically, the lead response system adds $2,500.
- Copy. If you have it, the project moves faster. If we write it, that is real work.
- Decisions. One decision-maker is cheaper than five. Every approval round costs time.
- Integrations. A booking tool, a CRM, a payment provider. Each one adds days.
- Content volume. 12 pages of real writing is a different job from 12 templated ones.
What does not change the number: how big your company is, or what you told us your budget was.
The monthly option.
If the work does not stop after launch, a project price is the wrong shape. Retainers start at $800 a month for ongoing design and development, and you can cancel any month.
Most businesses that come to us for a website need something every month afterwards. It is worth deciding which of the two you actually are before you buy either.
Questions people ask.
Why is your pricing published when nobody else does it?
Because hiding it wastes your time and ours. You should know whether we are in your range before you spend 20 minutes on a call.
Can I get a website for under $1,000?
Yes, from a template builder or a freelancer using one. It will look fine and it will be competent. What you will not get is anyone working out what makes your business different.
What is the difference between a $2,000 site and a $6,000 site?
Thinking, mostly. The second one starts with what the site needs to do for your business. The first one starts with what it should look like.
Do you charge hourly?
No. Everything is fixed price or a fixed monthly rate, and anything outside an agreed scope is quoted before we start, never invoiced afterwards.
How long does a website take?
A landing page is 5 working days. A 5 to 7 page site is 4 weeks. 12 pages is 6 weeks. Those are commitments made at kickoff, not estimates.
Closing.
